Technical Information
- The SKF 619780 mounting kit includes the black steel mounting base that the SFD?s simply clip into and the aluminum square piping. If you?d like to stay more economical, the mounting kit is not necessary.
- The set of 4 cartridges are rated for 80 cfm. The typical compressor on a ready mix plant is 15hp. 1hp = ~4cfm so this unit with 4 cartridges are likely enough to meet most ready mix plant?s CFM requirements.
SFD Stands for Separator Filter Dryer. This ingenious design Separator Filter Dryer protects compressed air systems on ready mix concrete batch plants by removing damaging water, oil and other air system contaminants. The SFD is a compact heatless desiccant air dryer that delivers the highest quality air while staying seemlessly easy to maintain. Working continuously, the dryer toggles from one side to the other cleaning the air and regenerating at the same time. So what does this mean for the ready mix concrete industry? Well, concrete companies still rely on compressed air during their winter production. Moisture in the air lines can freeze electric over air valves and bring concrete production to a hault. The SKF SFD solution insures an uninterrupted supply of clean dry air in the ready mix plant. It not only decreases maintenance costs but there's also a significant savings in energy.
- The vigorous seperator filter dryer installs anywhere, in or outdoors, delivering clean dry air even in the coldest of environments allowing productivity to continue.
- On-site personnel can perform the simple tasks of replacing the spin-off desiccant cartridges and easily accessible service components in a matter of minutes.
- The SFD can reach a negative 40 degree Farenheit dew point
