- The boot flange or shroud flange that is similar to this straight or flat flange is MPPM part number C-6. The flat flange is typically welded to the bottom of the cone on the cement silo. Then the seat of the Bray butterfly valve is squeezed between this boot flange and the flat flange with bolts. When tightening the bolts, you want them to be snug but not so tight that they warp the black seat of the butterfly valve preventing the Bray butterfly valve disk from completely opening. is MPPM part number FF-10. The flat flange is typically welded to the bottom of the cone on the cement silo. Then the seat of the Bray butterfly valve is squeezed between this boot flange and the flat flange with bolts.
